Howdy! We’re the Bairds, Trevor, Donna, and Little D.
Our little family of three loves road trips, living life outside (as much as possible), building healthy habits, finding our passions, tackling our long list of DIY projects, enjoying simple pleasures, and making family memories to fill our hearts.
Life can get so busy and jam-packed with all the necessary and unnecessary things, and at the same time, feel so empty. I was there in that “full-and-empty” space seeking an answer to finding balance in my life, a way to slow down, feel, experience, enjoy, and celebrate this time we have together.
I had also been eyeing fiberglass egg campers for a couple of years, specifically the vintage Uhaul CT-13, and finally found one in fantastic, original condition outside of Columbus, Ohio. So in May of 2016, we made a 17-hour road trip to pick up Sally and immediately began our camping adventures on the trip home.
We quickly found our time on the road felt brighter, breaths felt deeper, my soul felt lighter, thoughts felt clearer, and our family felt closer. My personal answer for balance came in this tiny, 2 wheel camper, and now there’s no turning back.
For me, following those gold road stripes are like following a magical dotted line leading us on breathtaking adventures and giving me calm and space in my soul. And those stripes, they’re whispering something. Do you hear it?
“Keep going…”
